Philosophy thinks about people and the universe, Memories examines the sense of human life. It explores the ambivalence of our emotions by looking at the persistance or our memories.

Memories is a reflection of our soul and our memories: it buids on the beauty of things we remember, things that have once and for all shaped the history of individuals and civilisations.

Singular events are transformed into opportunities for mental and sensory experiences.

At the centre of this research stands the intent to perpetuate a memory of existence by constructing an ideal “object”
that is linked to things we remember.
We try to remember what has passed. Some events have become part of our inner self, others can be felt later,
perceived as an “object”, sometimes resembling something else, a memory.
People cannot control external events. As a consequence, they feel nostalgic about the past. They enjoy their memories, which keep alive and past experiences which help to rediscover what has been lost.
If we don’t feel time as it passes, the present becomes inconsistent.
We live in a time of lost values, erased by the perverse dynamics of present-day egocentrism.
Being here today means having knowledge of the past so we can projecta path to the future.

Memories is a photo installation composed of 12 shots (15 cm apart, …x…cm, 20×20 each). It exemplifies mankind’s
quest to lend form to the spirit, to emotions, to sentiments that are contained in small metal caskets, made from
various alloys, which are able to speak to the human soul of those that can see beyond the physical to explore the
true essence of the spirit.
